Rocker valve, 3/2-way
The Bürkert rocker solenoid valve (Bürkert Types 6104 and 6106) is designed for operation with compressed air; all three ports are also accommodated in the valve body.
The valve is also frequently used as a pilot valve for pneumatic valves. A rocker with sealing seats alternately closes valve seats 1 for the air supply (fluid port P) and 2 for venting (fluid port R) of the outlet channel (fluid port A) (see Figure), in a similar manner to the pivoted- armature valve. Solenoid valves with rocker technology are available
with or without isolating diaphragm.
Advantages:
- Low mass of moving parts
- 3 fluid ports in one plane
- Media-separated version available
- Economical
- Very long service life
- Compact design
- Low coil power
- High coil system efficiency
- Also available as explosion-proof version (intrinsically safe).
