Eliminate waste – only the best diaphragm valve concept is good enough for your valuable media

The more valuable and sensitive the media to be controlled, and the higher the hygienic requirements, the more important it becomes to have reliable and secure industrial production processes. Preventing contamination of the final product or its precursors is our top priority. From an economic perspective, minimizing losses and waste is essential under all circumstances. This is especially true in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological environment with fermentation, chromatography, and WFI (Water for Injection) manufacturing and distribution processes. In this context, expensive high-purity, sterile, or aseptic media are called for. Additionally, you optimize your sustainability and energy efficiency.

The twin-weir technology makes all the difference – one diaphragm for two valve seats

The secret of Robolux lies within its pneumatic valve actuator, where, instead of the usual single diaphragm valve seat, there are two independently operating valve actuators, each covered by a single diaphragm. Housed in a stainless steel actuator housing, both valve actuators are operated with compressed air. This design also handles steam sterilisation and CIP/SIP cycles without any difficulty. The patented twin-weir technology opens up unprecedented possibilities in terms of reduced installation space and internal volumes alongside enhanced functionality. All of this not only reduces the complexity of your P&IDs but also provides additional benefits in terms of installation, maintenance, and spare parts management. This is because the numbers of required valves, welds, and, last but not least, routine replacements of diaphragms are lowered thanks to the Robolux twin-weir technology.

Modular, flexible, and tailored to your needs – you can rely on us to come up with exactly the right design for your pharmaceutical and biotechnological application

To ensure your systems run efficiently and productively 24/7, Bürkert has a wide portfolio of diaphragm valve solutions. From standard diaphragm valves to block solutions and the Robolux multi-way diaphragm valve, Bürkert provides the ideal solution for your application. The clever part of it all is that the innovative Robolux twin-weir technology can be flexibly combined with the single-seat technology of conventional diaphragm valves – resulting in virtually endless combination options. This means that we can achieve an optimal configuration for each and every specific application. This allows us to future-proof even complex valve clusters or ring systems like WFI loops.

Type 2036 Robolux – the details

Certified and traceable
All relevant certifications for the food and pharmaceutical sector (ASME BPE, FDA, EAC, EG1935/2004 and/or 2023/2006, ATEX/IECEx, ADI/TSE/BSE free, USP Class VI, acceptance inspection certificate 3.1 according to EN10204). Fully documented traceability thanks to batch identification for diaphragm and housing materials.
Innovative diaphragm valve concept
The unique Robolux two-seat technology allows for the separate operation of two valve actuators within a shared valve body, meaning that only one diaphragm is required. This opens up new possibilities in terms of functionality, as well as reduced space requirements and internal volume.
Compact construction
Robolux gives you unparalleled functionality within a compact footprint. You benefit from simplified P&IDs, reducing the complexity of your systems and skids.
Reduced maintenance costs
With Robolux, because a single diaphragm can be installed in combination with two valve actuators, you halve your maintenance costs and your need for replacement diaphragms. Moreover, you help the environment by reducing unnecessary waste.
Minimised risk for your costly media
The design of the Bürkert solution means that it offers the smallest possible internal volume on the market. Say goodbye to the worry of possible media contamination, and hello to maximum process reliability alongside maximum productivity.
Tailored solutions – from scalable modular to 100% bespoke solutions
We offer a wide range of standard diaphragm valves, block solutions, and automation units, combined with the option to integrate them using our experienced experts with the innovative Robolux concept: Whatever your fluidics challenges might be, we have the solution!
Reliable processes – seamlessly monitored
Thanks to digital communication and flexibly integrable automation units, you can achieve full transparency throughout your processes. Full real-time process monitoring and control is guaranteed at all times, enabling swift responses and the ability to automate your production processes as necessary in a decentralized manner.
Hygienic design
Experience purity in motion with Robolux, featuring a robust, top-grade stainless steel housing, premium diaphragm materials, and enhanced self-drainage capability in the valve body. The Robolux body is designed for optimized flow, minimizing the risk of deposits or biofilm formation.
Reduced documentation time
By concentrating the maximum amount of functionality into the most compact space possible, the need for additional valves and welds is eliminated.
Increase plant availability and production time
Thanks to the unique design of Robolux bodies, unnecessary branching and intersections are eliminated, which would otherwise require extensive and time-consuming cleaning operations, making cleaning and sterilization processes faster and more efficient. The time saved on these ancillary processes can be invested in increased production time.
