WhisperValve Type 6757 – Ideal for applications with high flows or pressures of up to 16 bar
Are you looking for a media-separated flipper valve that withstands a pressure of 16 bar and works in an energy-efficient manner? Are you looking for a valve that is characterised by high flows, despite a compact design of 18 mm? WhisperValve Type 6757 is the solution.
The WhisperValve Type 6757 doses, mixes and distributes liquids and gases. The media-separated 2/2 and 3/2-way valve is designed for use in analysis, medical an laboratory technology. Despite the intensive strain in these applications, the WhisperValve with flipper valve principle is durable, switches almost silently (~45 dB) and reliably withstands pressures of up to 16 bar.
Compared to conventional valves, Type 6757 is mainly characterised by the low power consumption of 4.5 Watt. Like all valves in the WhisperValve series, Type 6757 makes use of the physical basic principle of Lorentz force.
How does the Lorentz force actuator function?
Permanent magnets generate a constant magnetic field. The coil in the valve body moves within the magnetic field. This creates a constant force that moves the diaphragm.
In this way, fast switching times can be achieved in conjunction with the tried-and-tested flipper valve principle. The diaphragm is also particularly resource-friendly and moves with low wear, which results in a particularly long service life of the diaphragm.
Ideal for numerous applications
Flushing and disinfection processes in the medical sector
Medical devices must be flushed, cleaned, disinfected and sterilised. Valves that are used in dialysis devices and medical sterilisation and disinfection devices - for example, for cleaning endoscopes - must withstand flushing cycles with temperatures of up to 90 °C. Type 6757 is constructed in a way that enables these cycles to run over a set time period. Moreover, Type 6757 possesses an orifice between 1.4 and 4 mm despite its compact design. This enables Kv values of up to 0.425 m³/h (QNn: 440 l/min), making processes more efficient.
Analysis technology and laboratory applications
Thanks to the media separation, pressure range of up to 16 bar and chemical durability of the material used, the WhisperValve is also ideally suited for analysis technology and laboratory applications.
For example, in flash chromatography, a high flow can be achieved with the aid of the valves, thereby increasing the separation performance of the chromatography columns. As well as analysis technology and the medical sector, Type 6757 is also worth considering for applications with pressure-time dosing, such as dosing flavourings, due to the outstanding switching times.
